Tameka L. Gant, LPC-MHSP
“Serving out my purpose in real time.” The greatest gift in life I’ve been given has been to serve others. I’ve had the duty and pleasure of supporting those with disabilities, at risk and mental health struggles for over 20 years. My goal is to simply provide the support that I would want to receive. I hold a dual Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Social Work obtained from Alcorn State University and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling obtained from Freed Hardeman University.
Working with people to develop strategies that help them live the life they desire the way they desire is my passion. I have worked in the field extensively with children/adolescents, and adults. Providing case management, individual, family and group therapy. Her professional experience includes working with adults as a crisis case manager and advocate; providing clinical interventions to children and adolescents exhibiting significant emotional and behavioral disturbances. Assisting those experiencing depression and anxiety through the use of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
